Before you go creating your own wind turbine for electrical use, you should consider all the parts that go into the system. Some of the parts like the battery bank and the magnets for a PMG can be picked up for relatively little cost.
The whole idea of making your own wind turbine is to save costs and generate electricity. Don't get stuck in the middle of your project and abandon what was a great idea to begin with.
